Wednesday November 5th Esther “The Right to Fight”
There are sixty-six flawless volumes that adorn the bookshelf of the Bible, yet only two bear the names of women. Both are historical books that recount pivotal events in the nation of Israel. Ruth is read annually during the Feast of Pentecost, while Esther is read during the Feast of Purim. Remarkably, both women were foreigner women who resided in a land not their own. They both found unexpected favor in the eyes of a wealthy man who eventually became their husband. Moreover, both women were completely devoted to God’s plan for their lives. However, despite these similarities, Ruth and Esther could not have been more different. Join us as we dive into this four part series on the book of Esther.
